John Shepherd-Barron, OBE, inventor of 'the hole-in-the-wall'

John Shepherd-Barron, OBE, of Mains of Geanies, died in May 2010 at the age of 84.

His idea for the cash dispenser came to him while in the bath thinking about the frustration of arriving a minute too late for the bank, and reckoning there must be a simpler way to acquire money at any time.
