Bethune family, Badrain, 1900.
Murdo John Bethune is seated at the left in the front row. He was severely wounded in action on 2nd July,1916, and died of his wounds in hospital. The Ross-shire Journal reported his death at the time and this can be found under the <a href="https://www.rossandcromartyheritage.org/home/black-isle-communities/ferintosh/ferintosh-war-record-index/ferintosh-ww-i/#5947" Ferintosh WW1 war records page 1, photo number 5947.
