Welcome to this collection of photographs from Nigg Parish. The originals are held by Mrs Liz Whiteford. The photographs were presented in three albums on the original RCHS website, but as the topics are similar in each album it has been decided to amalgamate them under these topics.  

We have included all the photograph albums in the Nigg and Shandwick Libraries page on this website.  However, we have included the recreational activities album on this page.  Please enjoy the photos.

Pictured at the Shandwick Stone are right, Roderick Mackenzie and Jean Mackenzie, trustees of the Shandwick Stone Trust, local councillor Richard Durham, Will Aitken, Seaboard Development Group's Projects Co-ordinator along with representatives of ILM Highland. ILM Highland trainees undertook the work of constructing a new path from the roadway to the stone.
