A newspaper report early in 2016 revealed that Torridon Hotel had received £40,000 in funding from Highlands and Islands Enterprise towards a major renovation project.
The project, costing in total £140,000, will consist of upgrading rooms, improvement of IT facilities, external lighting and the grounds and garden.
The complex includes an 18-bedroom luxiry hotel, restaurant, inn with pub and restaurant, 12 en-suite rooms, an activity centre and a self-catering boathouse.
The owners, Daniel and Rohaise Rose-Bristow, are keen to provide high quality accommodation in conjunction with the North Coast 500 touring route.
