The Kishorn Selfie Box

The Kishorn phone box has been formally adopted by Lochcarron Community Council through the BT phonebox adoption scheme. When BT decide to remove a phonebox, the local community can apply to adopt the phonebox for £1 and keep it standing, although BT remove the phone and equipment.

The phone box has been run as the Kishorn Selfie Box since 2015. You go into the box, take a selfie, and post it to the social media pages. It is a simple and fun thing, and there have been many hundreds of selfies over the years from people all over the world, which has created a really lovely online community.
