Attribution: unknown (The ruin of Free Church in Jamestown)
From 1884 until 1951 there was a single railway line from Dingwall to Strathpeffer which saw the expansion of this once great spa village.
Midway on the ridge above Strathpeffer extending from “The Cat’s Back” to Knockfarrel can be found the Friendship Stone, erected to commemorate a link between Dingwall Academy and Nalband, Armenia.
