Jock Chisholm

John Logan Chisholm was one of a family of five who were well known and well respected in the village of Muir of Ord.
Born at Barevan Farm on the 6th of October 1924, he lived his life in the Muir until he joined the Royal Air Force serving mostly in Northern India, returning home in April, 1947.
As a civilian he worked many years for Logan Construction as head of the wages department. The Logan’s employed many locals and went on to employ thousands of people throughout Scotland with the late Willie Logan of Loganair being a 2nd cousin of his.
He later joined forces with a former ‘Logan’ colleague to form a building contractors’ company Chisholm & Thompson.
This book tells what life was like growing up in the village with good times and bad.
