Conon Bridge Places

Conon, at the junction of the A9 with Leanaig Road and before either the War Memorial or what became a grocer's shop was built.  Before ....

.... and after.  Trees were removed some years ago.

Conon Bridge features

The main feature of Conon Bridge is the river which gives the village its name.  This photograph shows the river, looking downstream from the road bridge.

The upstream view shows the railway bridge behind the metal bridge which carries services across the river.

The War Memorial (trees have been removed).

Conon Bridge Primary School built on Leanaig Road to replace the first school of its name, which was located on the aptly named School Road.  By 2013 this building has been replaced by Ben Wyvis Primary School (photo to follow when time permits).

A sandstone cottage, typical of the older buildings in the village.

An example of a more modern building in the village.
